Popular author Gervase Phinn is set for a one-man show in Harrogate to support a local charity.
Gervase will be supporting the Friends of Harrogate Hospital when he hosts his show at Harrogate Theatre on Thursday 18th April.
As well as being a radio and TV personality, Gervase is one of Yorkshire’s most popular raconteurs and a best-selling author.
He specialises in writing about true life in the Yorkshire Dales from his personal observation.
He also taught in various schools for fourteen years before becoming an educational advisor and later a North Yorkshire schools inspector in the Dales.
A spokesperson for the Friends of Harrogate Hospital said:
"Over the afternoon, we are raising money to purchase a mobile Paediatric Autorefractor.
"In very young patients eye examination is difficult.
"This device enables accurate assessment of eye conditions including squint without recourse to eye drops, saving distress and out-patient time."
Tickets are £15 each and are available from the Harrogate Theatre Box Office or phone 01423 502116 or online at harrogatetheatre.co.uk
