As a result of RMT Industrial action, there will be yet more rail strikes causing disruption to services tomorrow (Saturday).

No trains to run through Harrogate or Knaresborough tomorrow Harrogate rail passengers can expect yet more disruption to train services tomorrow (Saturday) due to strike action. The RMT Union are striking over pay and conditions and therefore there will be no Northern services operating through Harrogate and Knaresborough tomorrow. Services may also start up later than usual on Sunday (30th July) as passengers are warned to "check before travelling" on these days. (Graphic: Northern)[/caption] Additional disruption is also expected between 31st July and 5th August due to industrial action called by ASLEF. Speaking about the RMT strike action, Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said:

“Yet again, thousands of our customers will be inconvenienced as a result of this action by the RMT union. “We all want to see an end to this dispute and the uncertainty that on-going strike action causes to people’s confidence in the railway.”
