More than 350 runners are expected to take part in this year’s Mental Elf Run as the festive fun run returns to Knaresborough.
Organised by Mind in Harrogate District, the event aims to raise funds and awareness for local mental health services, bringing together runners, families and festive fundraisers of all ages.
It's being held on 30th November at Conyngham Hall.
Following its successful debut in 2024, the event will once again be supported by local estate agents Verity Frearson, alongside returning sponsors Strive Group and Coach Gyms.
Last year’s inaugural event raised over £8,000 for Mind in Harrogate District’s new Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service, with 259 participants taking part around the scenic grounds of Conyngham Hall.

Organisers hope to build on that success in 2025, with the number of participants expected to rise above 350.
Tina Chamberlain, CEO of Mind in Harrogate District, added:
“Mental Elf is about more than just running – it’s about bringing people together, celebrating community and supporting wellbeing through fun and exercise.
“Events like this remind us that when we move, connect, and laugh together, we’re all investing in better mental health.”
This year’s event will again feature a fancy dress competition, including the popular Best Dressed Dog category, alongside festive music and entertainment throughout the morning.
Tom Gordon MP is also set to return to officially start the race for the second year running.
