A free cybersecurity expo is being held in Harrogate next week to help local businesses protect themselves from cyber threats.
Harrogate tech entrepreneur, adventurer, and steam train hobbyist Chris Dickinson is hosting the CyberShield: Security Solutions Expo on Tuesday (24th June) at The Pavilions.
It’s a one-day, high-impact event designed to help local SMEs stay ahead of rising digital threats.
The event will feature insights from global tech leaders including Microsoft, Sophos, Check Point and IT Governance, offering expert, practical advice on cyber protection, compliance and resilience.
Event organiser Chris Dickinson of ASE Computers said:
“Cybersecurity can feel overwhelming for small businesses, but it doesn’t have to be.
“CyberShield is about making it accessible, relevant and practical for Yorkshire SMEs and bringing some of the world’s best minds to help.”
Chris recently returned from a cross-country road trip across America with his teenage son, exploring innovation stateside (and spotting the odd locomotive).
When he’s not planning tech events or helping clients, Chris is in his workshop building working replica steam trains - a passion for engineering and precision that reflects his business mission: helping companies run better, safer and smarter.
The CyberShield: Security Solutions Expo is free to attend - but registration is essential.

Busy schedule? No problem. CyberShield is designed to be flexible. You can drop in at any time and attend the sessions and speakers that interest you most, no need to stay for the whole day.
