The ever-popular Mackenzies Farm Shop and Cafe at Blubberhouses is under new ownership.
Mackenzies Farm Shop and Cafe opens under new management Mackenzies Farm Shop & Café at Blubberhouses has opened under new management. Mackenzies has been providing high quality local produce for more than 20 years from its site on Hardisty Hill. The venue, which also operates as a smokehouse, is famed for its smoked meats, pates and giant homemade scones. And it has today (Thursday) reopened under new management after it was taken over by business partners Dave Suttill and Aisha Guessis. Although customers can expect a lot of the same products and dishes within the cafe, the new management team are set to launch a new menu next Friday (10th November). This will include homemade burgers, pizzas, pies and fish and chips. There will still be a focus on fish products too, and diners can expect an array of fish platters on the new menu. Dave Suttill told Your Harrogate:
“We’re so excited to reopen Mackenzies Farm Shop & Cafe and continue offering the amazing local produce that has kept customers coming back for more than two decades. “The team can’t wait to welcome diners and customers alike and hope the local community will continue to visit us for many more years to come. “We’re also delighted to be launching our new menu next week, packed full of delicious dishes both new and old.”Events at Mackenzies The new ownership team at Mackenzies are also gearing up for a number of themed events in the coming weeks. This starts with a ‘Meet the Owners’ event on Friday 10th November, in which Dave and Aissa are welcoming visitors to meet them both for a cup of tea/coffee or mulled wine and a mince pie. This is followed by a Wreath-making workshop and an evening of Stargazing, both on Saturday 25th November. The Farm Shop will be hosting a Christmas-themed fundraising workshop for Cancer Support on 2nd December, a Christmas Taster Day on 9th December and a Christmas glass masterclass on 15th December.
