Amy Massey has created the Big Strong Girls Club to be a safe space for all women.
The club previously joined Brimham’s Active in Harrogate and Knaresborough, but owner, 29-year-old Amy Massey, is now opening her own studio in Burnt Yates on 1st July.
Their mission is:
"Here to show you what you’re truly built for and how you can live a FEARLESS life full of confidence, freedom and energy."
"To have the body confidence, relationship with food and self love you’ve always dreamt of. Whilst saying goodbye to diet culture, all or nothing thinking and being labelled based on your BMI!"
Amy Massey will be offering PT sessions and group training sessions for members.
We spoke to Amy about why she decided to start this business,
"As a teenager, I was consumed by the fad diet industry and had a negative relationship with food. When I decided to get a personal trainer at 18, my experiences with my male personal trainer weren't always positive"
"When I started with a new female personal trainer, she showed me how strong I could really be"
She added,
"The Big Strong Girls club is a safe space for women of all sizes to explore what they can do. Its a place to be seen, heard and understood and we want women to leave feeling their strongest self."
The gym is located at Unit 3 on Clint Bank in Burnt Yates, Harrogate and they are currently taking bookings.
