Two students from Henshaws Specialist College in Harrogate were treated to a VIP visit to Elland Road to watch Leeds United on Sunday.
The students, Jack and Morgan, were on hand to see Leeds win 2-0 against Hull City thanks to the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation.
Henshaws Specialist College works with students aged 16 – 25 with special educational needs and disabilities.
And the two pupils received the memorable treat from the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation, which makes grants to individuals and organisations across Yorkshire.
It raises money through the annual Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards which celebrate their 30th anniversary this year.
Interim Principal Rachael Martindale said:
“We all had an amazing time and it was an absolute joy to see our students cheer, sing and be delighted at two goals and three points.
“Jack and Morgan had an absolute blast and the day was filled with joy from start to finish.
“Imagine the excitement and joy they felt as they entered the stadium, surrounded by the roar of the crowd and the intense energy of the game.
“Attending a live football match is an immersive experience that goes beyond the ordinary, creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards
The Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards first took place in 1993 and have grown over the years to now include eight categories of Awards.
Previous winners include entertainers, such as Kimberley Walsh and the Kaiser Chiefs, sportsmen and women including the late Rob Burrow, Archie Gray and Hannah Cockroft, and a host of high-profile personalities.
The event was unable to take place in 2020 or 2021 because of the Covid pandemic, hence this year marking the 30th anniversary Awards.
For many years, the Awards raised money for a national children’s charity but in 2010 the decision was taken to establish the Foundation, allowing the targeting of grants to both individuals and organisations who support them. Over their history, the Awards have now raised more than £1.5m.
This year’s Awards take place on Thursday 14th November at the Leeds United Centenary Pavilion and tickets are already on sale at www.yorkshireyoungachievers.co.uk.
