Harrogate BID's annual Soccer Aid has raised £3,500 for well-known Harrogate man David Simister, who suffered a life-changing stroke in March.
Harrogate Soccer Aid raises more than £3,500 for well-known local man Harrogate BID's second ever Soccer Aid event has raised more than £3,500 for a worthy cause. Harrogate Soccer Aid was held at Rossett School last night (Wednesday) in aid of well-known Harrogate man David Simister, who suffered a life-changing stroke in March. Six teams of seven battled it out to win the coveted trophy. And after a competitive tournament, the Your Harrogate team, with some support from Harrogate Town staff, were crowned the winners. [caption id="attachment_85106" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] The proceeds from Harrogate Soccer Aid will go towards supporting David and his family.[/caption] The trophy was awarded at Cold Bath Brewing after the event, as well as some individual awards for those who took part.
