Brackenfield School became a beacon of remembrance and respect after taking part in a series of commemorative events last week.
The Junior Choir, led by Your Harrogate’s Teacher of the Year Helen Leaf, delivered an outstanding performance during the Concert of Remembrance on Thursday (7th November).
The event took place at Ripon Cathedral, where the choir proudly sang uplifting war songs and ballads.
They also showcased beautiful readings and entertained the large audience with bucket drums.

The event was attended by a full audience, including dignitaries such as the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, who represents King Charles in North Yorkshire and the Mayor of Ripon.
Headmaster of Brackenfield School, Mr Masterson said:
"An assembly with soldiers, pupils laying wreaths at the Cenotaph and a choir to fill a Cathedral with sound; these are the experiences that children remember.
"Brackenfield is proud to work so closely with its community to ensure that this young generation will bring reverence and respect for Remembrance into the future."

Continuing the commemorations, four children along with members of staff from Brackenfield represented the school at Harrogate’s Remembrance Sunday parade.
They laid two wreaths at the Cenotaph, representing the school’s collective respect and gratitude for those who fought for the nation’s freedom.
The culmination of their tributes saw the whole school gather for an event on Remembrance Day.
The assembly was graced by the presence of a platoon of soldiers from The Army Foundation College along with Sergeant McSorley and Bombardier Hudson- Carrier.
The children also performed poems, songs and ended with a two-minute silence and reflection.
