Two popular Harrogate district restaurants have been recognised at this year's Nation's Curry Awards.
ILLAM Restaurant in Harrogate and Jaflong Bangladeshi in Ripon both received Outstanding Achievement Awards in their respective categories.
The winners were announced at an awards ceremony held on Tuesday (9th February) at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.
ILLAM was honoured in the South Indian Restaurant of the Year category, whilst Jaflong received the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Bangladeshi Restaurant of the Year category.

Yasmin Mahmood, CEO of Oceanic Awards said:
“We’re proud to once again celebrate the finest in the UK’s curry scene, recognising the creativity, innovation, and exceptional service that have become synonymous with this beloved cuisine.
"The UK’s curry industry is a vital part of our culture, and these awards recognised the exceptional talents of the individuals and businesses that make it so special.
"We’d like to congratulate all of our winners on their incredible accomplishments.”
Guests from across the UK’s curry industry gathered to recognise excellence in cooking and service.
Finalists are selected from nominees around the country for their creativity, service and overall quality, and winners are then confirmed ahead of the ceremony.
Eligibility rules generally require entrants to have been trading for at least 12 months, and the judging recognises dedication and achievement within the broader UK curry sector.
