A 72-year-old man from Harrogate has raised more than £13,600 for charity after completing a four-hour Stairmaster challenge.
Rob Northfield, from Clint, was fundraising for Henshaws and the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation earlier this month.
Taking to the Stairmaster at Knaresborough Leisure and Wellbeing Centre, he was able to top last year’s fundraising total of just over £10,000, raised through a similar challenge.
Henshaws Senior Philanthropy Manager, Gemma, said:
"Rob’s courage and commitment are extraordinary, and we’re so lucky to have him as part of the Henshaws family."

A spokesperson for Henshaws added:
“Rob gave it determination, heart and pure grit, and we couldn’t be prouder.
“We were thrilled to cheer him on alongside our brilliant students and Artmakers, and the energy on the day was something special. It was a true celebration of community.”
Rob raised £22,000 in total for Henshaws last year, enabling the charity to purchase life-changing resources.
These included iPads for non-verbal students at its Specialist College in Harrogate.
