Harrogate finalists recognised at Yorkshire Choice Awards 2026

Several Harrogate individuals and businesses have been recognised at this year's Yorkshire Choice Awards, celebrating the people and organisations making a difference across the county.

The annual awards shine a spotlight on inspirational people, successful businesses and community champions from across Yorkshire, with a number of Harrogate representatives among this year's finalists.

Harrogate-based Kitchen & Koffee was named a finalist in the New Starter Business of the Year category, recognising the success and potential of new businesses making their mark.

Also representing the town were Phil Harris, shortlisted for Yorkshire Entrepreneur of the Year, and Vicky Robaya, who was recognised in the Inspirational Individual of the Year category.

Across North Yorkshire, winners included York-based EmAble, which claimed the New Starter Business of the Year award, while Lucie Maguire from Kirkby Malzeard was named winner of the Rob Burrow Outstanding Courage Award, recognising exceptional bravery and resilience.

The Yorkshire Choice Awards celebrate individuals, businesses and organisations that make a positive impact in their communities and industries.

Joanne Matby and Melanie Malcolm, co-founders of The Yorkshire Choice Awards, said:

"North Yorkshire’s winners and finalists should feel incredibly proud.

"Their stories reflect courage, enterprise, generosity and the kind of community spirit that makes Yorkshire so special.

"It is a privilege to recognise their achievements."

Other North Yorkshire finalists included Michael Kiddle from Thirsk in the Yorkshire Entrepreneur of the Year category, Moneyweb from Scarborough for Charitable Business of the Year, and Louise Prashad from York, who was shortlisted for the Kate Granger Outstanding Contribution Award.
