Despite battling stormy conditions last weekend, staff from Harrogate-based events company Impulse Decisions successfully tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in a single day.
The challenge is part of a year-long series of activities to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary.
CEO James Marsden said the decision to take on the famous peaks was about more than just marking the milestone:
“It’s our way of celebrating this milestone, but also of bringing our team closer together and creating shared experiences that reflect our values. Thanks to our fantastic social team for organising the day, ten of us headed to Horton-in-Ribblesdale bright and early, ready to take on Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough – all in one day. It was no small task, but as a team that values fitness, wellbeing, and pushing ourselves, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to test both our physical and mental endurance. More importantly, it was a chance to build stronger bonds, outside the office, in the fresh (and very damp) Yorkshire air.”
The group persevered through thick fog, heavy rain, and strong winds to complete the challenge.
With the Three Peaks now ticked off the list, the team are already looking ahead. Their next adventure will be the National Three Peaks Challenge in 2026, taking on the highest summits of England, Scotland, and Wales within 24 hours.
