Dancers from a school in Harrogate are celebrating success at the CNRG 2025 Irish Dance World Championship.
11 girls from St Aelred’s Irish Dance School claimed podium spots at the competition in Essex.
Among the standout performances were Libby M, who secured first place in the Treble Reel Championship, and Eve P who claimed a first place Championship title.
Several other dancers from the group—Rosie G, Lana B, Niamh B, Phoebe M, Cicily H, and Jessica C—earned podium placements ranging from 2nd to 5th place.

Una O’Connor, Principal at St Aelred’s Irish Dance, who also leads an after-school dance club at Western Primary School, has played a central role in nurturing local talent.
Una said:
“Each child thrived and achieved remarkable results.
“Their success stems from months of hard work, dedication, and a vibrant sense of community.
“We are immensely proud to see such talent emerge from our small Yorkshire town.”
The success follows months of hard work and dedication, as well as support from Chatsworth Dance Group who offered additional studio space.
