Harrogate bus drivers celebrated for decades of service

A number of Harrogate bus drivers have been recognised for their decades of devoted service.

Long-serving members of Transdev teams, including The Harrogate Bus Company, were recognised at the bus operator’s Celebration of Service event.

Family, friends, and colleagues looked on with pride as the presentations took place at a sparkling celebration dinner held in the Directors’ Suite at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.

A total of 990 years of service given by 31 long-serving Transdev team members was saluted at the specially arranged event.

And in Harrogate, awards were presented to Andrew Senior (40 years’ service), Raymond Oxley (35 years), Stewart Laws (30 years), John Carlisle (25 years) and Damian Potter (25 years).

Transdev Managing Director Henri Rohard said:

“At our Celebration of Service, we thanked 33 of our colleagues who have reached a milestone in their service with us.

“We are people serving people and the Celebration of Service helps us to remember how experienced and dedicated this company and its people are in providing everyday transport services to our customers.

“It is the type of event that makes us proud and humble at the same time.

“We are all of us a sum of our experiences and stories. Thanks to all our colleagues for being part of these and for bringing such enrichment every day to our company.”
