Hampsthwaite school welcomes return of much-loved teacher

Hampsthwaite CE Primary School is welcoming back much-loved teacher Mrs Pollington-Clyne in a new role next month.

Mrs Pollington-Clyne is returning as Lead Teacher of the school's Nursery.

Known as the 'Pixie Lodge,' the nursery building opened in 2019 and provides both indoor and outdoor learning provision.

Mrs Pollington-Clyne, who had been at the school for 4 years, originally joined to cover the Nursery Teacher role for a period of maternity leave.

And she said she can't wait to get started in her new role:

"It’s my idea of a dream job to work with the children and their families as their teacher; everyone is so lovely here at Hampsthwaite and I am already feeling their support!”

Headteacher, Mrs Amy Ross, said:

“We are delighted that Mrs Pollington-Clyne will be returning as the lead Teacher for Team Pixie.

"Her wealth of Early Years experience, coupled with her caring nature makes her the perfect person to guide our youngest pupils as they take their first steps in a school setting.

"And having already been part of our school for 4 years, Mrs Pollington-Clyne forms an integral part of our school community.”

The nursery is open Monday to Friday 8.45-3.30pm, term time only.

Open Morning

Hampsthwaite Nursery Open Morning takes place on Thursday 4th July from 9am-10am.

There is no need to book, and you are able to just turn up, but families are encouraged to call ahead to share their interest if possible.
