First look inside new bar on Cold Bath Road A brand new bar has officially opened on Cold Bath Road in Harrogate. “17 Miles” has opened next door to Lunns Blinds and Curtains and opposite La Feria, offering craft beers, fine wine and charcuterie. The dog-friendly bar is aiming for a “relaxed and quirky” atmosphere as it opens to the public today (Friday) following a ‘soft launch’ for invited guests last night. 17 Miles is located in the unit previously occupied by Scandinavian clothes shop Bias. Check out our photos of the venue here: Owner Matthew Gray told Your Harrogate:
“We wanted to offer something a little bit different with the beers. There’s a lot of Belgian things that are quite difficult to get hold of, it’s a different set of beers. "I don’t want to compete, I just want to contribute to the area."The bar's name comes from a combination of the door number, 17, and the name of Matt's 9-year-old son Miles. Her added:
"I have a passion for this area, it’s my community and I think Cold Bath Road is up and coming. I enjoy being here and I just wanted to contribute. "The amount of people that have been stopping by and asking what’s going on, it’s been brilliant. I’ve loved doing it and I’ve loved adding to the area."The bar will be open from 4pm to 11pm Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 11pm on Saturdays and 12pm to 9pm on Sundays.
