Harrogate's Moonlight Glow Walk returns this Saturday (17th October) to raise money for Saint Michael's Hospice.
Previously known as the Midnight Glow Walk, the fundraiser has moved to an earlier evening slot, with a new 5km route joining the 10km option.
Participants can walk in memory of someone special or simply join friends and family to support local hospice care.
Last year’s event raised £70,000. Entry fees cover the event’s costs, while sponsorship supports the charity’s care for local people and their families.

When and where is it?
Walkers will set off from St John Fisher High School on Hookstone Drive at 7.30pm.
Registration opens at 5.30pm, with entertainment and a warm-up before departure.
The 5km walk is expected to take around 45 minutes to an hour, while the 10km route could take two hours.
How much are tickets?
The hospice is currently advertising a limited-time offer of £10 for adults and older children.
These tickets include an event T-shirt, a finisher’s medal and access to the entertainment and event village.
Both routes are marshalled, with entertainment and opportunities to remember loved ones along the way.
A £5 Glow Pack can also be added to bookings.
Tickets for children aged five to 11 cost £5, including a medal. Under-fives attend free.
All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to raise sponsorship?
There is no minimum fundraising requirement, although organisers suggest aiming for £50 per person.
What should I bring?
Bright clothes and glow accessories are encouraged, alongside warm layers, waterproofs and suitable shoes.
Dogs are not permitted. Some paths are bumpy, so organisers recommend baby carriers over prams.
School parking is limited, with additional parking at Hornbeam Park, around ten minutes away on foot.
How do I sign up?
Book through the Saint Michael’s Hospice website before online registration closes at noon on Friday 16th October.
On-the-day registration will cost extra and depends on availability.
