Knaresborough's Christmas lights switch-on event is set to take place later this month.
‘Bright Friday’ takes place in the town on the final Friday of November each year - often referred to by retailers as ‘Black Friday.’
Bright Friday, which will be held on Friday 29th November this year, sees Knaresborough’s Christmas lights switch-on event and the start of the town's Christmas celebrations.
The Knaresborough community is invited to come together for a night of music, late-night shopping and Christmas refreshments.

The event will start at 5:30pm before a light parade led by the town crier at 6pm, setting off from grounds of Knaresborough Castle.
The Christmas tree will be switched on at 6:30pm.
A spokesperson for Knaresborough Town Council, which organises the event, said:
“The last Friday in November has become better known as ‘Black Friday’.
"Bright Friday is Knaresborough’s antidote to this and marks the start of the town’s festive calendar of events.
"It is a celebration of light, positivity and community to reflect the true meaning of Christmas in our town.”
