A Wetherby business has raised more than £5,800 for Martin House Children’s Hospice following a number of unique fundraising initiatives.
Boat race, sweepstake and 'Donut Day' help Wetherby firm raise £5,800 for children's hospice A Wetherby business has raised more than £5,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice following a number of unique fundraising initiatives. Claritas Solutions selected Martin House as their charity of choice after a visit to the hospice. They set about a number of challenges to raise the funds needed including a Dragon Boat race at Roundhay Park, a World Cup sweepstake and a Donut day. Marketing & Social Media Executive Kathryn Green and her partner Greg also took part in the Martin House ‘Strictly Get Dancing’ competition, finishing third and raising £750 through sponsorship. The final fundraising total stands at £5,827. Marketing Manager Jenny Bell said:
“It has been a fabulous year supporting Martin House and the events and activities we have taken part in have been brilliant team working exercises and really boosted morale. “Smashing our fundraising target of £5k by reaching a total of £5827 is a great end to the year, and a real incentive to get us motivated to do the same again in 2024. “Having a member of the fundraising team visit us and support us has also been extremely helpful in terms of keeping everyone informed and appreciating the difference the money we have raised will make.”Head of Fundraising Robyn Mountain-Wade added:
“I would like to extend my most sincere appreciation to all of you for your continued dedication and hard work for Martin House. You continue to amaze me with your creativity, determination and commitment. “The money you raise makes a considerable difference to the lives of our children and their families. “£5,827 is simply an amazing sum of money – thank you so much! Without people like you and your endless generosity we simply could not continue to provide our services”.Martin House needs £24,000 to run for just 24 hours and is reliant on public and corporate donations.
