Some of the region's finest gardens will be on parade this summer for an Open Gardens event near Ripon.
The village of Mickley will welcome visitors on Sunday 23rd June.
A colourful collection of outdoor spaces in a wide range of sizes and styles will be on display, from cottage gardens with their casual planting and old-fashioned floral favourites to modern landscaped affairs with bold architectural features.
The day will run from 11am to 4.30pm, with a plant stall and ice-creams, coffees, lunches and afternoon teas served in the village hall.
There will also be a barbecue for a spot of al fresco dining and a Prosecco stand.
All proceeds will be donated to St John’s Church in Mickley and Marie Curie.
Deborah Hayward of the organising committee said:
“The village boasts some truly spectacular gardens and June is a great time to see them.
“We have got something to delight and inspire everyone, so we hope that as many people as possible will pay us a visit.
“The event happens only once every two years, so this is an opportunity not to be missed.”
Due to a poor mobile signal in the village, the Open Gardens will be a cash-only event.
