Belmont Grosvenor school's campaign, 'Pedal, dash and splash' is aiming to raise £50,000 to refurbish their school swimming pool and they have already had a great start.
All pupils at the Harrogate independent prep school, from the youngest students from Magic Tree Nursery, to their Year 6 students, threw themselves into a week-long BGS Triathlon, which culminated in a PTA-organised Triathlon Party.
Over the course of a week, pupils competed in the three Triathlon elements; swimming, cycling and running. They were sponsored for their efforts by family and friends.
All the Triathlon events were adapted to ensure they were age-appropriate.
The BGS Triathlon ended with an after-event party, featuring bouncy castles, beat the goalie competitions, soak a teacher slots, food, music and more, organised by the school’s PTA.
The BGS Swimming Pool Fundraiser total currently stands at more than £4,000 and they are aiming to raise a further £46,000.
