It was another successful Great Knaresborough Bed Race on Saturday (14th June) with over 30,000 spectators lining the streets for the historic annual event.
Organised by Knaresborough Lions, Bed Race invites 90 teams to dress their beds, parade them through the streets and then race along a gruelling 2.4-mile course.
The theme for this year’s event was ‘TV adverts’, with teams giving nods to famous ads including Dairy Milk’s gorilla drummer and the nodding dog head for Churchill insurance.
The winners of the race were not revealed on the day as usual due to a timing error - however Knaresborough Lions released the winning teams on their website last night.
It was another win for the GH Brooks Men, who were named 'Fastest Team' - and the stunning Sugar Puffs bed from The Rocket Men was named 'Best Dressed Bed.'
