Guide Dogs will be holding another unique dining event at luxury Harrogate hotel Rudding Park in October.
Unique 'dine in the dark' experience returns to Rudding Park Guide Dogs will be holding another unique dining event at Harrogate's Rudding Park Hotel in October. ‘Dining in the Dark’ will see diners trying to eat the middle course of a three course dinner whilst blindfolded, in order to simulate what dining out is like for people with a visual impairment. The event, taking place on Saturday 7th October, will also include time to meet and learn more about how Guide Dogs support their owners to live independent lives and some fabulous prizes will be up for grabs too. Nicola Ridgway, Community Fundraising Manager for Guide Dogs in Harrogate said:
"Dining in the Dark will give you an insight into how visually impaired people experience life on a daily basis. "It’s a brilliant way to understand how such a basic activity as eating is a challenge when you have sight loss, whilst at the same time raising much-needed funds for Guide Dogs. "We are very grateful to Rudding Park Hotel for hosting this event for us.”The event is being organised by the local volunteer fundraising branch and all funds raised will go to support Guide Dogs UK life-changing work. Tickets are £53.30 each (Inc booking fee) and are available online here. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
