A B&B near Ripon has been named the best in England.
Mallard Grange, located near Fountains Abbey, has been crowned ‘Bed and Breakfast of the Year’ at the 2024 AA B&B Awards.
The awards, now in their 28th year, celebrate the best venues in the bed and breakfast industry.
Expert judges rank entrants based on factors including quality of breakfast and the standard of housekeeping.
They praised the “quality furnishings,” “tasteful decor” and said the property is “filled with a wealth of thoughtful extras.”

After receiving the award, Maggie Johnson of Mallard Grange, said:
"We were surprised and delighted to receive this prestigious award from the AA after 31 years.
“It's really lovely to know that so many people think that what we do here is a little bit special. Thank you."
