North Yorkshire Police released an inquiry on Thursday evening into the whereabouts of a local girl.
15-year-old Masoumeh was last seen Thursday afternoon at 3:15 pm.
She has been uncontactable since that time and police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Extensive inquiries are ongoing to locate Masoumeh and as part of police inquiries, they are asking for anyone who may have seen her, or who has information about her whereabouts, to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately.
She is described as being of Southeast Asian heritage, around 5ft 7 tall, of slim build, with long straight black hair.
She was last seen wearing a cream zip-up hoody and light brown tracksuit bottoms,
