A new performing arts school for children has been launched in Harrogate.
The LA Performance Academy has been founded by Lucy Auty, an ex-professional dancer and experienced teacher.
The academy, aimed at children aged 6-14, is built on a foundation of “kindness, passion, and excellence.”
Classes will include Musical Theatre and ‘Acro’, as well as Tots Ballet for children aged 2-4.
Lucy said:
“At LA Performance Academy, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to grow in confidence, develop their skills, and find their love for performing in a supportive and inspiring environment.
“Whether they dream of the West End or simply want to have fun in a supportive and express themselves, we provide high-quality training in a nurturing space.”

She added:
“If your child loves to perform, come and join our welcoming and inspiring academy, where we strive for excellence in a kind and encouraging environment.”
As the academy grows, it aims to expand its timetable to include ISTD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern, Lyrical, Street Dance, Singing and Acting.
