A popular gluten-free brownie business in Harrogate has been shortlisted for two national food awards.
Heavenly Bites GF, which offers 100 percent gluten free goodies, is a finalist in the ‘Start Up’ and ‘Gifting and Celebration’ categories at the Free From Food Awards.
The business launched in June last year, founded by 20-year-old entrepreneur Leah Smith.
Leah was diagnosed as a coeliac as a child and set out to provide allergen friendly treats from her converted horse box trailer.
She's since popped up at a number of local shows and her products are now stocked at Fodder in Harrogate.
Leah said:
“Since starting Heavenly Bites last June, the support we have received has been nothing short of incredible.
“We have been given some amazing opportunities such as retailing our brownies in Fodder, working alongside Coeliac UK and having our brownies entered into the national Free From Food Awards.
“We have lots of exciting things coming up and we can’t wait for you all to be involved. For now you can buy our brownies directly through the website.”
Heavenly Bites is planning to appear at both the Ripley Show and Otley Show, as well as more local markets around the Harrogate area.
Heavenly Bites’ gluten free goodies, which can be shipped nationally, can be bought online at www.heavenlybites.uk
