As Yorkshire Day approaches, London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has introduced a new interactive quiz designed to promote regional tourism through a personalised lens.
The "Yorkshire Personality Quiz" invites participants to answer questions about their preferences in food, music, scenery and other lifestyle choices.
Based on their responses, users are matched with one of six destinations in the region: Harrogate, York, Bradford, Leeds, Hull, or Whitby.
The initiative aims to encourage people to explore different parts of Yorkshire by aligning their personal tastes with the unique characteristics of each location.
Harrogate, known for its spa heritage and Victorian architecture, features as one of the recommended destinations.
David Flesher, Commercial Director at LNER, described the quiz as “a fun way to explore the region through your preferences and discover destinations that resonate.”
He noted that the campaign is about making travel more meaningful by helping people find places that suit their individual styles.
The campaign reflects a broader trend of experience-driven travel, with LNER highlighting both well-known and emerging destinations across Yorkshire.
The quiz is available to try on LNER’s website: https://www.lner.co.uk/yorkshire-day/
