Ladies Day event raises £2,500 for Harrogate charity

Ladies Day at Hotel Du Vin in aid of Supporting Older People in Harrogate.

Cheltenham Festival came to Harrogate last week for a charity race day in support of a local befriending charity.

Held at Hotel Du Vin on 12th March, a special Ladies Day event was attended by over 50 people and managed to raise £2,500 for Supporting Older People.

The afternoon brought together supporters and volunteers, who watched all the action from the races over drinks and lunch.

There were sweepstakes, judging for the best hats, and a raffle with the lucky winners taking home some fantastic prizes.

The event was sponsored by Carefound Home Care in Harrogate.

Danielle Ferebee, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care in Harrogate said:

“At Carefound Home Care we are deeply committed to making a difference to the lives of older people and it’s wonderful to be able to help Supporting Older People with the amazing work they do.

“It was great to see so many people coming together at the Ladies Day event, and the money raised will go towards the charity’s ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation experienced by older people in the local area.”

Julia Lightfoot, Befriending & Activities Manager at Supporting Older People, shared her gratitude:
