A family in Knaresborough is appealing for help after their pet cat went missing, leaving three young boys "devastated".
Blue, a friendly male cat, has not been seen since Saturday 13th December after disappearing from the Trinity Fields area of the town.
His owner, Leah Francis, said the loss has been particularly upsetting for her children, who helped buy Blue themselves.
She said:
“I know to some people it’s just a cat but my boys call him their brother.
“They put their birthday money together and bought him with their own money.”

Blue is not a fully pedigree cat but a cross breed and is neutered.
Leah believes his friendly nature may have led someone to assume he was a stray.
She added:
“Please, if someone has taken him, I know he’s a super friendly cat so I know why you would probably think he’s a stray, but he’s got a home and he’s really missed.”
The family is offering a £500 reward to anyone who brings Blue home.
Anyone with sightings is asked to call Leah on 07872 937641.
