A Killinghall family said they are "over the moon" after winning a top Harrogate-themed prize package for Father's Day.
Laura Hodges, who works as a nursery nurse, entered the Harrogate BID and Your Harrogate competition for her husband Darren.
The prize package features two season tickets for Harrogate Town and Darren is hoping to attend more matches with the couple's five-year-old son, Tommy.
Laura, who lives with her family in Killinghall, said:
"This couldn’t have come at a better time as our Father’s Day plans fell through, so thanks to the BID and Your Harrogate for saving us.
“Darren is chuffed and cannot wait to go to the matches more regularly with Tommy – who loves Harrigator! We’re also looking forward to some delicious meats and will be celebrating with a big BBQ.
“I am over the moon and these prizes have really given me and my family the lift we needed.”
Laura has now claimed the full prize package, which includes:
- Season tickets for Harrogate Town AFC for the 2025/26 campaign
- A Saturday afternoon experience at The Den in the town centre
- A £100 voucher for the Yorkshire Farmers Meat Company
- A £100 Harrogate Gift Card available to spend in the town centre.
The Business Improvement District (BID) organised and created the competition to showcase the North Yorkshire town’s business offer and promote its place as a whole as the ‘jewel in Yorkshire’s crown’ its known as on both a regional and national scale.
