Members of the team from sustainable IT solutions firm Techbuyer are gearing up to raise money for the Harrogate Homeless Project.
Staff from the Harrogate-based company aim to walk, run or cycle the 20-mile Harrogate Ringway circuit, encompassing the spa town, Knaresborough, Burn Bridge, Pannal and Killinghall.
They'll set off from their Hornbeam Park facilities on 25th May in the hope of raising money and awareness for those within the community that struggle with homelessness.
Techbuyer’s CEO, Steve Sexton, is part of the team taking on the challenge. He said:
“Techbuyer is really excited about tackling the Harrogate Ringway; it is an honour to help raise money for the Harrogate Homeless Project.
“Techbuyer’s home has always been Harrogate therefore we are dedicated to helping the local community as much as possible.”
Late last year, members of the team spent the day volunteering to repair and decorate the Oaklands community centre.
Harrogate Homeless Project
Harrogate homeless Project (HHP) offers support, emergency sleeping arrangements and continued aid for those experiencing homelessness in and around Harrogate.
The charity has a series of facilities, including a day centre and hostel, to offer everything from food and drink to belongings, and even a place to sleep for those without.
The charity aims to help those in a position of homelessness towards more independent living; this includes providing practical help, donations and mental health support.
