Farrah’s Olde Sweet Shop in Harrogate has been ranked number five on a list of the best sweet shops in Britain.

The list has been compiled by holidaycottages.co.uk to celebrate the launch of the new Wonka film starring Timothée Chalamet. And Farrah’s Olde Sweet Shop in Harrogate has been ranked at number five in the country. Farrah's on Montpellier Parade, which includes the Palm Court Cafe, is famous for its fudge and toffee. Taking top spot is ‘The Oldest Sweet Shop in the World’ in Pateley Bridge. The list of seven has been created from a survey of 2,000 people. The list in full: 1. Grandad Jim’s, Leyland, Lancashire Although established in 1827, The Oldest Sweet Shop in the World isn't the oldest sweet shop in the world – even though the building dates back to 1661.
