Ian Swann has been appointed as Operations Director following Simon Knagg's retirement.
Ian joins the team with a wealth of experience in engineering and project management.
In his new role, Ian will lead the operations at Harrogate Spring Water, focusing on enhancing productivity, sustainability and community connections.
This was most recently demonstrated through Harrogate Spring Water spearheading and being the main sponsor of the “Big Harrogate Sleepout”.
Ian comes to Harrogate Spring Water after a successful tenure at food brand Alpro, also a part of the Danone stable, where he served as Transformation Portfolio and Project Manager.
In this capacity, he managed project budgets and developed transformation strategies across multiple sites.
Reflecting on his new role, Ian said,
“I’m excited to join Harrogate Spring Water and contribute to a company that is deeply rooted in its community.
“I look forward to building on the great work already being done, enhancing our operations and engaging with local stakeholders to ensure we continue to be a source of pride for Harrogate.”
Ian is replacing Simon Knaggs as Operations Director following Simon’s retirement after seven years in the role.
Richard Hall, Managing Director at Harrogate Spring Water, said,
“Ian’s extensive experience and proven leadership in operations and project management make him the perfect fit for our team.
“Ian brings with him significant experience, in particular working in the Danone operations ecosystem which will be vital as we continue to integrate Harrogate Spring Water into the Danone family. His commitment to excellence aligns with our goals of sustainability and community connection. We are excited to welcome him aboard as we continue to grow and innovate.
Richard added,
“We’d also like to pay tribute to the fantastic work of Simon Knaggs as Ian’s predecessor in the role. Simon has played a key role in the continuing success of Harrogate Spring Water and we wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.”
