Harrogate has been named among the UK's best places to live in 2025.

Harrogate has been named among the best places to live in the UK in 2025.

Lifestyle publisher Muddy Stilettos has released a list of the top 300 places and this time has covered “more regions than ever before.”

The Yorkshire category includes ten locations, including Harrogate, Ilkley, Skipton and York.

Speaking about Harrogate, Muddy Stilettos writes:

“Young families and couples flock to Yorkshire, specifically Harrogate, to fill their boots with leafy parks, great schools, tempting house prices and a buzzy town centre that’s bursting with one-off shops, cafés and restaurants.”

The listing highlights Bettys, Coach & Horses, The West Park Hotel and Paradise Cafe at Daleside Nurseries as places particularly worth a visit.

It also points to Harrogate’s “buzzing” indie scene, particularly around Commercial Street, Cold Bath Road and Kings Road.

In terms of local attractions for health and wellbeing, Rudding Park’s spa, Turkish Baths and North Studio all get a mention.

And for schools, Muddy Stilettos points to Ashville College, Harrogate Ladies College, Harrogate Grammar, St Aidan’s and Western Primary.
