Harrogate's Girlguides are hosting an open day this June to recruit more volunteers.
The group are hosting an open day at the Harrogate Community House on East Parade on Saturday 1st June.
Without new recruits, the group are at risk of shutting down and are urgently requesting people step forward.
The open day will allow potential new volunteers to see what they would be doing if they were recruited.
Sam Jennings, Division Commissioner for Girlguiding Harrogate North, said:
"We are constantly trying to recruit more volunteers to stop Guiding units closing.
"In Harrogate North alone we have 4 units, which affects a lot of girls, that may have to close due to lack of volunteers.
"It is a recurring theme throughout Harrogate in general."
Volunteers can be aged 13 and up and will have the opportunity to gain qualifications in leadership development and first aid.
If you would like to volunteer, visit the Harrogate Girlguiding website here.
