Harrogate Convention Centre has signed a five-year contract with The Flooring Show to bring it back to the town every year until 2029.
The UK’s largest event dedicated to the flooring industry, The Flooring Show is one of the six large-scale exhibitions taking place at the venue this autumn.
Coming up on 15th-17th September - just a week after Bridal Week Harrogate - the 62nd edition of The Flooring Show is set to be its largest event to date.
It will be taking over six halls including the addition of Hall Q, with a 30% expansion on the previous year.
Alex Butler, Group Exhibition Director of Ocean Media Group, which organises the show, said:
“Harrogate is firmly cemented as the home of flooring, so we’re delighted to commit to another five years at HCC.
“The Flooring Show has grown by 25% since 2019, so we’re excited to see what the next five years hold for us.
“This year sees the exhibition expand into Hall Q which has added even more reasons for visitors to attend the show with new features and more stands than ever before.
“The central location of HCC is so unique, and it’s one of the main reasons why the flooring industry returns year after year.
“Our clients use so many of the restaurants and bars to conduct business after the exhibition has closed its doors.”

Featuring more than 400 UK and international brands as well as a stellar line-up of demonstrations and product presentations, the upcoming event is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors including retailers, contractors, distributors, fitters, interior designers and developers, generating an estimated economic impact of £450,000 on the spa town.
Paula Lorimer, Director at Harrogate Convention Centre, said:
“As the autumn exhibition season begins, I am delighted to renew the relationship with The Flooring Show this year.
“The show is one of the longest-running trade exhibitions in Harrogate and has seen great success at the venue over the years.
“With the major trade and public exhibitions coming up between now and November, we are expecting a very busy autumn season that will bring significant footfall to the bars, restaurants and hotels in the Harrogate ahead of the festive season.”
The Flooring Show is one of the prominent events that make up the autumn exhibition season in Harrogate, with six shows—three trade and three public—opening between September and November 2024, bringing tens of thousands of visitors and exhibitors to Harrogate.
Upcoming trade exhibitions at HCC include Bridal Week Harrogate (8-10 September) that took place earlier this week, The Flooring Show (15-17 September) and Harrogate International Nursery Fair (13-15 October).
Public exhibitions include the Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show (1-3 November), Thought Bubble Comic Convention (16-17 November), and The Knitting & Stitching Show (21-24 November).
