A community cafe in Harrogate has launched a fundraising campaign after a fire above its premises over the weekend.
A fire broke out above Artizan Café on Saturday (1st June) following an electric fault just before 9pm.
The fire was quickly extinguished by North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue after members of the public raised the alarm.
And thankfully the ground floor, which is where the cafe is, and the first floor were unaffected.
However Artizan has launched a fundraising campaign for impending "unknown costs" in addition to the insurance that may be incoming.
A spokesperson for Artizan said:
"By now most of you will be aware that we suffered a fire on the top floor of our Cambridge Road Café building.
"Thanks to several members of the public who raised the alarm quickly the Fire Service were on site and were able to extinguish it before it spread.
"Huge thanks to North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for taking such good care of us and our building."

Artizan Café, which supports people with disabilities and offers them employment opportunities, is open as usual today (Monday).
The spokesperson added:
"We know this will be a huge shock to our staff, volunteers, members and local community and we are so grateful for all your messages of support and offers of help.
"At the moment we are waiting for reports and the insurers but we will let you know if you can help practically when we know more.
"However we are sure there will be many unknown costs in addition to the insurance so any financial support on our current Crowdfunder Campaign would be really appreciated."
