A community initiative offering free packed lunches will return to a popular Starbeck café this half term.
The Joyful Brew, formerly The Living Room, is bringing back the initiative to help out families in need.
The Packed Lunch Project will take place on Thursday 30th October, providing free lunches to anyone who signs up.
Each lunch typically includes a sandwich, crisps, fruit and a drink.

Organiser Sarah Khanye said:
“The Packed Lunch Project came out of a midnight idea to help as many people as we could for one day during half term.
“It’s one day when you don’t have to think about what’s going on - you come, take your packed lunch, take it home and get everything you need for just one day of support.
“You don’t have to have a child to have a free packed lunch!
“We love helping people and we love helping our community, and if one meal can take away that stress over half term then let’s do it!"
Joyful Brew, based on High Street in Starbeck, has previously hosted similar community projects supporting local residents during school holidays.
