The deadline for the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards is approaching - a huge celebration of the county’s food and drink businesses.
Deliciously Yorkshire launch 2023 Taste Awards A huge celebration of the county’s food and drink businesses, the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards have been launched with its deadline for entries fast approaching. This year’s winners will be revealed at a glittering black-tie event at the Pavilions of Harrogate, hosted by artisan food expert Nigel Barden and Chef Consultant Steph Moon. The deadline for online entries is Friday 11th August. The awards, now in their 19th year, are the biggest of their kind in the north of England and attract hundreds of entries from food and drink businesses throughout Yorkshire and the Humber. Taste Awards The evening will culminate with the announcement of the coveted Supreme Champion, awarded to the product which the judging panel agree is the standout entry of the year. Also unveiled will be the winner of this year’s Judy Bell Yorkshire Food Hero Award, named in honour of the late and great founder of Shepherds Purse Cheeses and chair of Deliciouslyorkshire. A spokesperson for the awards said:
"This is your opportunity to shine a light on someone from our industry who has gone above and beyond to champion and promote Yorkshire food and drink throughout Yorkshire and beyond. "The award is named after the late and great Judy Bell, founder of Shepherds Purse Cheeses and chair of Deliciously Yorkshire, who was a tireless supporter of small, independent businesses and a Yorkshire Food Hero in her own right."This year’s judging panel will include food writers and critics, chefs and retail buyers. They will be working their way through the entries of 24 categories in late August to determine the 2023 shortlist, with winning products and businesses announced in November. The Taste Awards 2023 give entrants the opportunity to get their products in front of a huge range of industry experts, and a fantastic opportunity to market their products and business on a huge regional stage.
