Yorkshire Vet star Peter Wright will join Your Harrogate’s David Whittle for a very special festive show this Christmas Eve.
In a wide-ranging interview about his 40-year career, Peter will talk exclusively to David about where it all started for him via Thirsk school, before going on to study veterinary science at the University of Liverpool.
He’ll talk about his early days working with Alf Wight, better known by his pen name James Herriot, and Donald Sinclair (Siegfried Farnon in the books.
And he’ll talk about the success of TV’s The Yorkshire Vet which is now in its 19th series and celebrated its 200 episode this year.
He’ll also chat about one of his recent highlights - being an extra in the latest version of C5’s All Creatures Great and Small.
A good friend of Your Harrogate Radio, Peter will tell us about his earliest Christmas memories including playing Father Christmas for Alf Wight's children on Christmas Day to his own favourite Christmas songs and films, plus what Yorkshire means to him.
Tune in to Your Harrogate Radio on DAB, online, on your smart speaker or on our free app on Christmas Eve, as David Whittle meets Peter Wright from 12pm.
