A body has been discovered in the search for a man missing for more than five months, police have revealed.
The body, which was discovered on open land near Easingwold last Friday (17th April), has now been formally identified as Robert Rees-Hughes.
Robert was reported missing on Saturday 29th November, and extensive searches were carried out in the weeks that followed.
A police spokesperson said:
“Robert’s family have been informed, and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal or contacted us with information.”
