Baltzersen's closes ahead of major refurb

Baltzersen's has officially closed its doors on Oxford Street.

Baltzersen's in Harrogate has closed its doors for the final time ahead of a major refurbishment.

The café on Oxford Street officially closed on Sunday (23rd February) after more than 12 years in the town.

It will reopen as the new Bakeri Baltzersen shop and cafe, with a larger counter displaying breads and pastries made at their bakery production unit.

The popular Scandinavian café will also offer a range of hot and cold sandwiches plus savouries, an expanded food retail section, bread slicing station and 28 seats for guests.

Once the new unit opens their existing bakery shop, located further down the same street in Harrogate town centre, will close.

Co-owners Paul and Katie Rawlinson said:

“A huge thank you to our loyal guests and hardworking Baltzersen’s team who have made it what it is over the years.

“We are excited to start the next chapter of our story and the work begins right now.

“We hope you will visit us when we re-open as the new Harrogate Bakery Baltzersen shop and cafe.”

Baltzersen’s first opened its doors in October 2012.
