A unique fundraising event is coming to Knaresborough next month.
Allerton Country Park is set to host the Yorkshire Polo, a fundraising event for Leeds-based Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
Taking place on Thursday 12th June, the day will see two polo matches take centre stage, showcasing both talent and athleticism of seasoned players and rising stars from God’s Own Country
This will be followed by a three-course lunch and silent auction.
Charlotte Farrington, chief executive and founder of Yorkshire Children’s Charity said:
"We are so excited to be back at Allerton Park for the third year for the Yorkshire Polo.
“Following overwhelming interest in this year’s event (having already sold-out once), we have expanded our marquee space to accommodate even more guests.
“Each ticket sold enables us to continue making a tangible difference to the lives of children living at a disadvantage across Yorkshire. “
She added:
“With funds raised from last year's events, we were able to support over 2,000 children this past winter, providing warm coats, bedding bundles and school shoes to families living in destitution across our region.”
The event is part of a series of Yorkshire Children’s Charity fundraising events to be held at Allerton Park this June, preceded by a brand-new Reset Day offering a gala of well-being workshops on Monday 9th June and The Yorkshire Clay Shoot on Friday 13th June.
The charity has a target of raising £100,000 net profit over the course of these events to help support children in Yorkshire who are at a disadvantage due to ill health, disability or financial circumstance.
Tickets are available for £150pp. For more information and to book, visit: https://yorkshirechildrenscharity.org/yorkshire-childrens-charity/events/yorkshire-childrens-charity-events-the-yorkshire-polo/
