Ripon Together will present the results of its recent 20mph survey at the city’s Green Fair this Saturday (11th October).
The survey asked local residents whether lower speed limits could improve safety, reduce pollution and make streets more welcoming.
Visitors to the free-to-attend Fair will be able to view the findings and take part in discussions about potential next steps.
The third annual Ripon Green Fair takes place from 10am to 3pm at Allhallowgate Methodist Halls.
Organisers say the event is focused on practical ideas and everyday actions for sustainable living, from home insulation and waste reduction to tree planting and sustainable travel.
The Fair will also feature stalls, workshops and talks from local groups and speakers.
David Ingham from Ripon Together said:
“The Fair isn’t just about ideas – it’s about people.
“It is fast becoming a hub for those who care about Ripon’s environment to connect, share, and volunteer.
“Many local groups need extra hands, and visitors will find plenty of chances to get involved.”
Activities include growing trees from seed, hands-on workshops making reusable wipes and demonstrations on eco-living and clean energy.
Local voices scheduled to speak include Andy Brown, John Whitfield, and Simon Warwick.
Harmony Energy and The National Trust at Fountains Abbey are supporting the event. Entry is free.
