Police are seeking the owner of two 'aggressive' Bullmastiff dogs following an incident in Harrogate last week.
It happened at around 3pm on Wednesday (2nd April) on the footbridge between Dragon Road and Mayfield Terrace.
Two brown Bullmastiff dogs, which were off-lead and without an owner, approached a female dog owner and smaller dog on the footbridge.
A police spokesperson said:
“Members of the public had to intervene to remove the aggressive dogs and prevent serious injury occurring to the other dog and dog owner.
“Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding the owner of the two bullmastiff dogs which are believed to reside locally?
“Did you intervene and assist in securing the dogs at the scene and help the female dog walker?”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 1864 Wilding on Fiona.Wilding@northyorkshire.police.uk
