ITV' national weather broadcast came live from a familiar location last night (Thursday).
Presenter Jo Blythe reported on the UK’s weather from a rainy Valley Gardens in Harrogate for the 6pm news show.
Jo and her team set up in the Japanese Garden before broadcasting live to the nation.
And, despite the wet weather, she reported that hotter days will arrive this summer.
She said:
“It’s absolutely pouring with rain in Valley Gardens this evening and it’s been raining steadily throughout the afternoon.
“We do know it’s been the sunniest spring on record and provisional figures show it’s been the third driest spring since records began.”

According to forecasts from the Met Office, the UK is expected to experience a ‘hotter than average’ June, July and August.
And there’s also a high risk of heatwaves in the coming months.
