Two men have been charged with kidnap following a violent incident in Harrogate earlier this week.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. A 24-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and motoring offences.
They are due to appear at York Magistrates Court today (Thursday).
The charges relate to an incident in Jennyfields just after 4pm on Tuesday (7th October).
Police received a report that a man had been assaulted and forced into a black Land Rover. Officers attended immediately, and quickly located the vehicle. Two male suspects ran off, but were arrested by officers a short time later.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Wilkinson, of North Yorkshire Police, said:
