Andrew Welch, a postman in Knaresborough is raising money for Leeds General Infirmary's Neurosciences.
He decided to combine his love of drawing and walking to raise money for the department following his own health journey.
Andrew approaches owners of homes he passes by that he deems inspirational and asks permission to make a pen and ink drawing of their home for them.
Upon completion, the owners make a donation to their chosen charity.
He then presents to them an original piece of art, mounted and cellophane-wrapped.
In December 2021, Andrew had life-saving surgery for a fractured vertebra in his neck.
He then began a 4-month rehabilitation programme before finally returning to work as a Postman for the Royal Mail in May 2022.
He said:
"My reason for choosing to raise funds for the Neurosciences Department of the LGI is to show my gratitude for the brilliant care I received in December 2021"
You can donate to his cause via his JustGiving page here.
